Once upon a time, long ago I vowed to deliver tech tips via email twice a month. Well, as some of you may have noticed with my hectic schedule I haven’t always been able to consistently get these out. So, I finally got wise and handed this project off to my Virtual Assistant (or VA).

THIS WEEK'S TIP:  Hire a Virtual Assistant

What exactly is a Virtual Assistant?  A VA is an expert at providing office support services, but remotely from their personal office. All the services you would expect of a tech-savvy ‘in office’ secretary are available, with communication, delivery, billing and payment handled electronically . A Virtual Assistant, especially one who carries the Certified Real Estate Support Specialist designation (CRESS), can hit the ground running on your projects without endless training or high employee costs.

Cheryl Allin of VirtuAllin Administrative Services is CRESS certified and has worked with me behind the scenes for nearly two years.  I can always count on her when I’ve got a million projects going and not enough time to finish them. She can keep the top-level view and remind me of key tasks I’ve got coming up.  So, now Cheryl will assist the regional tech staff in researching the hottest trends in technology and the best tips and tricks to keep your computer running smooth and easy. Once she’s completed the article and drafted the initial copy, she’ll forward it on to me for my review and approval.  Once approved, Cheryl will format it and send it off to all of the associates.

Now I am secure in the knowledge that these informative tech tips will go out every two weeks without fail, thanks to my VA's help behind the scenes.  What a great feeling to know that finally, tasks like these are handled, thus freeing me up to focus on the rest of my commitments (like flying the RE/MAX balloon!).

You too can save time in your schedule with a VA.  A Virtual Assistant can offer incredible cost savings over hiring in-house staff and they provide a wide array of services from web and graphic design, marketing, desktop publishing to transaction coordination. If your schedule is often overflowing like mine and you find yourself spending more and more long nights at the office or in front of your laptop just trying to keep up, you should consider hiring a VA like Cheryl.  You can find Cheryl, and links to other sources for qualified Virtual Assistants at the Regional Resources section of your IRC (Intranet Resource Center-Click Here).

Time's up! Gotta go. Have suggestions for other Tech Tips?  E-mail me.

As always, feel free to contact Amanda or Troy at the regional helpdesk with any tech support question at mailto:help@remax-nj.net or (800) 828-7065.
